Rab Stewart, III, DVM
Dr. Rab Stewart was born in Birmingham and grew up in Haleyville, Alabama. He was raised on a Quarter Horse farm, and his love for animals developed quickly. As his affection and respect for animals grew, Dr. Stewart realized that he wanted to become a veterinarian. He is a 2001 graduate of Haleyville High School. Dr. Stewart received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in 2005, and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2009. He completed an equine internship in Phoenix, Arizona at the Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Center during 2009-2010, then returned to Birmingham to practice at Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic until January of 2017. He opened Ross Bridge Animal Hospital in February of 2017.
Dr. Stewart’s special interests in veterinary medicine include ultrasonography, echocardiology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.
Dr. Stewart enjoys spending time with his wife Elaine, son Robert, daughters Lydia and Eleanor, and canine son Renzo. He is an active member of Double Oak Community Church in Mt. Laurel. He also enjoys live music, sporting events, white water kayaking, and the occasional above par round of golf.
